GRP Flat Roofing System ROOF-LINE is the most adaptable and highest specification Roofing system from our range of roof coverings. Fibreglass roofs offer a much better value for money solution than traditional flat roofing materials such as felt and other bitumen based products that may only last a few years. The ROOF-LINE GRP Flat roofing system is designed to last the lifetime of your building. What sets the ROOF-LINE System apart from other GRP roofing systems is the FLEX-BASE™ specially prepared GRP base sheet fixed down with our unique 'Mobile Anchor Fixing'. When laminated together, the FLEX-BASE sheets form a perfect independent roof base that tolerates all structural and thermal movement as well as ensuring active vapour control (very similar to the Filon tecnaflex roofing system). The ROOF-LINE system builds up further layers of glassfibre and polyester resins onto the FLEX-BASE sheets to form a seamless, maintenance free roof covering. Other fibreglass roofing contractors pour polyester resin and fibreglass mat directly on to a timber roof deck. These systems eventually fail when the rigid GRP roof structure is unable to tolerate thermal or structural movement or control moisture vapour (see our FAQ's page). ROOF-LINE offers a 25 year guarantee, with a life expectancy of 80 years plus. A full range of colours and surface finishes are available, including imitation lead. GRP is by nature a very strong and rigid material, it does not expand, contract or breathe. Our unique mobile anchor fixing (below) ensures that this GRP flat roof covering is able to move when the building beneath moves. All structural and thermal movement is transmitted to the flexible edging trims. Over any roof deck, the control of moisture vapour and structural movement is easily tolerated with no adverse effect on the appearance or life-span of the new GRP roof.

Mobile Anchor Fixing for GRP Flat Roofs.
		Installed at 1m square intervals, this unique, virtually flat fixing is constructed by core-drilling a 45mm diameter hole through the base layer (FLEX-BASE) of the GRP roof covering. A steel plate washer is then fixed (with the appropriate fixing for the roof deck) through the centre of this hole. This allows the entire roof covering to 'slide' but not lift.
A gasket of silicone is then applied 25mm away from the edge of the steel washer, and a square of FLEX-BASE panel is placed onto the silicone. The entire fixing is then laminated over with polyester resin and chopped strand mat. The silicone gasket ensures that resin is unable to enter the fixing void and 'trap' the Mobile Anchor Washer.
